What is Hellenism?   Is the Greek word "Ellinismos" adopted in English as "Hellenism" and describes a set of ideals and values for living, associated with the civilization and culture of ancient Greece; the admiration for and adoption of Greek ideas, principles, style and culture which became the basis of our Western Civilization.
"Hellenism" describes the body of philosophical, humanistic and classical ideals that include reason, the pursuit of knowledge, sciences and the arts, law and civic responsibility, moderation for a healthy mind and body.
"Hellenism" has been also used to describe the people of Greek lineage as an entity.
